The Stuttgart Surge have re-signed one of the key-pieces on defense for the upcoming 2024 ELF-season. Mitch Fettig, ELF All-Star at cornerback, will be back for another year, the team announced. The 27-year-old defensive back had quite an impressive year with 56 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and four interceptions in 12 regular season games. Joining the Surge before the 2023 season, the US-American was previously active for the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns, Calgary Stampeders and Eastern Washington University, being named Freshman of the Year and Defensive MVP (2017) at EWU, ranked as one of the four best corners in the ELF in 2023.
