Stuttgart Surge bring back Tight End duo

In their squad planning for the upcoming season, Stuttgart Surge have continued to work on their offense.

The contract with tight end Philip Eichhorn has been extended. The 30-year-old is now entering his third season with the German team. Eichhorn played in a total of 12 games last season and wants to give everything this year - his goal: “To win a ring with my brothers in a home final in Stuttgart.” The ELF Championship Game 2025 will take place on September 7 in the MHP Arena in Stuttgart.

In addition to Eichhorn, Surge has also announced the signing of tight end Aurieus Minton. The 31-year-old Homegrown was already active for Surge in 2023. After a stint with the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns last season, the 2014 world champion is now returning to Stuttgart.

A great reunion for the German, who was born in Newham, England. Including head coach Jordan Neuman, with whom Minton has a particularly good relationship: I've played for Jordan Neuman my whole life. He's my mentor, and I'm so grateful to have met him in my life. I've played with some of the guys from 2023, and they've become like brothers. I also want to give everything for him, the team and the fans.”
