Seven things you might not yet know about the Championship Game

The 2024 Championship Game was full of highlights and interesting statistics. Let’s take a look back at some of the key stats from the big game:

  • With 41,364 fans in attendance, a new record was set for the highest number of spectators at an ELF game.

  • Together, the two teams generated a total of 938 yards — 516 by Rhein Fire and 422 by the Vienna Vikings.

  • The Vienna Vikings rushed for 225 yards, almost 100 more than Rhein Fire, even though Fire had the best rushing offense in the league this season.

  • The first punt of the game didn’t happen until 37 minutes into the match.

  • This is the second time the Vikings have gone undefeated in the regular season but failed to win the Championship.

  • The loss in the Championship Game was only the fourth loss ever for the Vikings (two in the regular season and two in the playoffs).

  • Fire’s backup quarterback, Rohat Dagdelen, threw the longest pass of the game, a 64-yard completion, on his only pass attempt.

These stats add even more excitement to an already memorable Championship Game!
