Semi Finals set: Storm at Vikings and Surge at Ravens

The Semi Final matchups of the European League of Football are now officially set. In the first game of the Wildcard Round, the Stuttgart Surge claimed a hard-fought 41:17 win over the Madrid Bravos, earning their spot in the Semi Finals. They will face the Munich Ravens for the third time this season.

The Ravens, thanks to their #2 seed, had a bye week and are automatically qualified for the Semi Finals. They will host the Surge on Sunday, August 31.

Strong passing game leads to Storm victory

The second Wildcard game also showcased high-level football. In a tough battle, the Nordic Storm impressed with a strong passing game and outstanding defense, defeating Rhein Fire 28:23 and advancing to the Semi Finals in their very first ELF season.

Their road to the Championship Game now runs through the Vienna Vikings, the #1 playoff seed. The Vikings had a bye week and could watch their future opponent closely. The Semi Final between the North Division champion Nordic Storm and the East Division champion Vienna Vikings will take place on Saturday, August 30.
