The battle for tickets for the playoffs of the 2023 season in the European League of Football is entering the hot phase. It is still unclear which teams will play in the Championship Game on September 24 in Duisburg. What is certain is that a huge football party will be celebrated in the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena: The seats are sold out, only in the standing area remaining tickets are still available.

"We are about four weeks away from the showdown of a very exciting season, and it is already clear that an outstanding atmosphere awaits the two finalists. The fact that we can report a sold-out stadium before the pairing is even set is a great signal and shows how our league has developed in its third year," emphasized Zeljko Karajica, Managing Director of the European League of Football.

A new attendance record for the final

The 2023 Championship Game at the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena in Duisburg will set a new attendance record for finals. At the end of the premiere season in 2021, 22,000 spectators in the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf saw the success of Frankfurt Galaxy over the Hamburg Sea Devils, and a year later the Vienna Vikings triumphed over the "Seeteufel" in front of 14,566 fans in Klagenfurt (Austria). On September 24 in Duisburg, 31,500 football fans will be in attendance.

While the franchises' focus is on the highlight of the current season, preparations for the 2024 Championship Game at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen are in full swing behind the scenes. For the final of the fourth season of the European League of Football "auf Schalke", 5000 tickets have already been sold in advance.
