Rhein Fire sign former Division I offensive lineman Jasper Friis

Just a few days before the start of the season, Rhein Fire lands another big signing. With Jasper Friis, the reigning ELF champion has secured a young talent for its already strong offensive line. The 24-year-old, who was born in London and grew up in Germany, began his football career in 2013 with the Starnberg Argonauts before moving on to high school after stints with the Munich Cowboys and Fursty Razorbacks.

Joining the European Champion

After graduating from Aquinas High School, Friis decided to begin his college career at the University of California, Berkeley. After his time with the Golden Bears, the talented German started two years for Iowa Central before joining Deion Sanders at Jackson State University.

While playing for McNeese State University last year, Friis is now returning to Europe: "I'm excited to be part of such an outstanding team culture. I'm ready to dominate and bring home more wins, and bring home more wins," says the two-meter, 150 kg heavy offensive tackle.
