Rhein Fire's Marius Kensy: "Set the tone from the beginning"

The Rhein Fire's last two weeks in the European League of Football have been a display of smash mouth football. The team's defense and running game has stepped up in big moments to give the defending champions two huge road wins in consecutive weeks.

Applying coaching points to the field

Marius Kensy, a veteran tackler and leader on the Rhein Fire defense commented on how Jim Tomsula and his staff have guided the Rhein Fire to win against talented teams, while leaning on their defense.

"It is the good preparation. The strengths and weaknesses are analyzed by our coaches and the system is adapted accordingly. The coaches do the hard work at the office and we bring it to the field."

Keys to success against Madrid

This week homegrown linebacker Marius Kensy and the Rhein Fire defense will look to do more of the same as they travel to Madrid to take on the Bravos. The Rhein Fire of course lost to the Bravos three weeks ago, and look to get the win over their new Western Conference foes and move into first place in the conference standing.

Kensy spoke on the keys to success in Madrid: "Set the tone from the beginning, stop the run and the passing game and allow as few points as possible."

Kensy, who had 10 tackles against the Berlin Thunder last week, commented on how he and the defense will look to stop a Bravos offense that has been one of the leagues best to date. "We will take a close look at their strengths and adapt our system to stop them in the best possible way."
