Rhein Fire has extended the contract of Sebastian van Santen. The 28-year-old is therefore facing his third season in the European League of Football. Last season, the kicker converted eight of his ten field goal attempts. He also converted 53 points after touchdowns. 

Furthermore, the homegrown gained 913 yards on 26 punts. This means that van Santen gains an average of 35 yards per attempt. 

Performances that earned him a spot on the ELF All-Star team. He originally started out as a wide receiver. Due to his strong soccer background and his resulting kicking power, van Santen switched to the position of kicker and punter.
