Sea Devils return to "Hoheluft" - Kitchens against former team

Week 4 of the European League of Football brings a special moment for the Hamburg Sea Devils as they return to their traditional home: Stadion Hoheluft. On Saturday at 18:00 CET, Hamburg will host Berlin Thunder in a game full of emotion, history, and key storylines.

A familiar face on the field
For Kyle Kitchens, defensive end for Hamburg, this game is more than just football - it's a meeting with his former team. Kitchens played several seasons for Berlin Thunder and will now line up against many familiar players.
"Our performance as a team is a growing process - step by step, everything is coming together", said Kitchens. "The fans are always amazing, a lot of friends will be there, and I just enjoy playing football." On the challenge of facing Berlin’s offensive line, he said: "It’s harder than ever to break through offensive lines. Opponents always find new ways to stop me - but that’s what makes it exciting for me."

Bounce-back opportunity
The Sea Devils are coming off a tough home loss in Bremen, where they fell 14–53 to the Stuttgart Surge. The game was also the debut of new quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa, who had only joined the team days before kickoff.
"Of course, we had hoped for a different start for Taulia", said Hamburg General Manager Mark Weitz. "He had just arrived and had to step in quickly. But we know his potential - and with our fans behind us, we want to show a different side of ourselves against Berlin."
Both teams are looking to build momentum early in the season. Berlin aims to bounce back after a tough loss, while Hamburg hopes to give fans a strong performance in their first home game at Stadion Hoheluft (Kickoff: Sa., 18:00 CET).
