Ravens? "They were simply the better team today"

In a crucial final game of the regular season, the Raiders Tirol suffered a heavy 03:30 defeat against the Munich Ravens, missing out on the playoffs for the second year in a row. It was a tough afternoon for the Tirol team, marked by mistakes and difficult conditions.

Early lead slips away

The Raiders started strong, moving the ball with an early first down. However, a fumble by Cinque Sweeting halted their momentum, a mistake that would set the tone for the game. Head Coach Jim Herrmann reflected, "If we watch the game again, we'll see many fumbles and missed tackles. Unfortunately, today we were on the losing side."

Despite the rainy weather making things difficult, the Raiders managed to score first with a field goal, taking a 3:0 lead. But the Ravens soon responded, and by halftime, they led 14:3.

The second half only got worse for Tirol. The Ravens quickly extended their lead with an 80-yard touchdown run, and the Raiders couldn't find any answers. The game ended 03:30, leaving Tirol disappointed and out of the postseason once again.

"We knew we had to win, but we just didn't deliver," said Adrian Platzgummer. "The weather and conditions did affect us, but that's no excuse. They were simply the better team today."
