Raiders Tirol sign interim-quarterback Kason Martin

The Raiders have apparently found their interim solution at the quarterback position for the game against the Barcelona Dragons. Kason Martin comes from the Raiders AFL team to fill the vacant position. He succeeds D'Angelo Fulford, who the Raiders parted ways with after an unsuccessful Vikings game. Martin will initially only be used for one game. A new quarterback appears to already be in the pipeline.

A new face joining soon

Ulz Däuber, GM of football for the Raiders: "We recruited Kason not only to be our starting QB on our AFL team but it was always the plan to have him step up if we need him for our ELF team. I'm extremly confident that Kason will do a phenomenal job against Barcelona this weekend. In the meantime, as an organization, we have already come to terms with an outstanding successor at the QB position."

Martin appeared in eight AFL games and totaled 881 passing yards for 13 touchdowns. This will be the former Division II quarterback's first game in the European League of Football. Kason Martin started his football career at Manvel High School in Texas, where he played for the Mavericks. He joined the University of North Texas as a two-star prospect before transferring to Eastern New Mexico University in 2022.

Last year, Martin was a quarterback at Tiffin University, where he totaled 1,671 yards (209 attempts, 134 completions) for 16 yards and 4 interceptions. He also ran for 131 yards and 4 touchdowns.
