Playoff Picture after Week 6: Who’s in and who’s not?
Felix Pahl

We’ve completed six weeks of the 2025 European League of Football regular season, and the race for the playoffs is heating up. With more than half of the season still to be played, the top teams are starting to separate themselves - while others are fighting hard to stay in the hunt.
Here’s a look at the current playoff picture:
Semi-Finalists
1) Nordic Storm (5–0)
The Nordic Storm are having a perfect first season in the ELF. After winning again in Week 6, they remain the only undefeated team in the league. At 5-0, they currently hold the #1 seed. That means a bye in the Wild Card Round and home-field advantage in the Semi-Final, where they would face the lower-seeded winner of the Wild Card games.
2) Vienna Vikings (4–1)
Even after losing in Week 6, the Vienna Vikings hold the second Semi-Final spot with a strong 4-1 record. They would also get a bye and play the higher-seeded Wild Card winner at home. With a talented and experienced team, the Vikings remain one of the top contenders.

Wildcard Round
#6 Paris Musketeers at #3 Stuttgart Surge
If the playoffs started today, the Paris Musketeers would travel to face the Stuttgart Surge. Paris started the season 1–2, but two straight wins pushed them into the playoff picture. The Surge, sitting at 4-1, currently hold the #3 seed thanks to their strong and consistent performances. However, it’s important to note that Paris gave Stuttgart their only loss of the season - this could be a close and exciting rematch.
#5 Raiders Tirol at #4 Munich Ravens
This Wild Card battle comes with history. The Raiders (4–2) are now sitting at the #5 seed and would face the Munich Ravens (4–1) on the road. Last season, the Raiders needed a win over Munich to make the playoffs - but the Ravens dominated that game and ended Tirol’s season. This time, the Raiders are looking for revenge.
In the Hunt
Several teams are just outside the playoff picture and still have a great chance to climb in:
- Rhein Fire (3–2)
- Frankfurt Galaxy (3–3)
- Prague Lions (3–2)
- Madrid Bravos (3–2)
Each of these teams is only one or two wins away from a playoff spot. With several weeks remaining, the battle for the top six will only get more intense.
Get ready for a thrilling second half of the season – the race for the playoffs is just getting started!
