Panthers' linebacker A.J. Wentland: "I feel super lucky"

The Wrocław Panthers have secured themselves the service of A.J. Wentland late into the season. As a 1st Team All-Star linebacker, the US-American was highly thought after. In Wrocław, he found a blessing in disguise. "I feel super lucky and blessed to being able to do it for so long. To be able to play for so many amazing programs and organizations", Wentland said about his career. A career that brought him to Germany, Finland, Austria and now Poland. A program that was designed to compete.

"Blue collar players"

"Great organization where I didn’t have to wonder about anything other than playing. It ended up being a perfect fit with the Panthers. Coach Christensen is doing an amazing job with building a winning culture. The team welcomed me with open arms!" Knowing some players from his long football career in Europe, Wentland feels at home in Poland. "The Polish guys are great, they are tough and gritty. I love that mentality, so it has been a good fit so far of blue collar players." That work ethic, the facility and more is something the 28-year-old talks about in the latest episode of the Official ELF Podcast.
