Nordic Storm sign new Tight End coach

Nordic Storm continues to expand its coaching staff. Luis de las Heras Villarreal becomes the new tight end coach of the young franchise.

“I'm grateful to be part of this organization. We know how competitive is Football in Scandinavia, now is time to bring the storm to the rest of the league”, explains de las Heras Villarreal.

The Mexican began his football journey as a player in 2008 at Zorros Dorados in Xalapa, Veracruz in Mexico. He played as a center and defensive linemen at Monterrey Tec Querétaro. In 2013, de las Heras Villarreal transferred to Monterrey Tec Santa Fe to play at college level and finishing his Business Administration degree.

To the north via Spain

In 2018, he started his European journey with the Camioneros of Coslada and Guadalajara Stings in Spain. De las Heras Villarreal impressed, obtained Spanish citizenship and played for the Spanish national team for two years.

He moved to the north for the first time in 2018. He won the Division Championship in Finland with the Kotka Eagles in 2019. He then joined the Søllerød Gold Diggers in Denmark in 2020.

Sufficient coaching experience

During his time in Mexico, Luis de las Heras Villarreal began his coaching career. He coached several youth teams in various roles. He continued this work with the European teams he played for. He held several positions, such as position coach or head coach.

Now he is staying in Denmark. At Storm, he will get the new tight end unit in shape.
