Nordic Storm sign former Thunder starter Emil Hovde

Nordic Storm has signed another ELF-known homegrown player. Defensive end Emil Hovde will be hunting sacks for the young franchise next season.

"I’m thrilled to be a part of the highest level of football in the north! I can’t wait to show our fans how much this opportunity means to us on Gameday", says Hovde.

The 24-year-old Swede was a regular starter on the Berlin Thunder team for two years. Here he played 21 games in which he recorded 85 tackles, including 19.5 for loss and 11.5 sacks. He also forced a fumble and recovered another.

Before his time in the ELF, the athletic D-lineman spent two years in the United States. Here he attended NCAA Division I Mercer University in Georgia.

Together with former Rhein Fire pass rusher Max Parkinson, he could become a pillar of the Storm's defensive line. The team from Copenhagen continues their strategy of signing experienced ELF players and a lot of Homegrown talent.
