The Nordic Storm will have to continue their strong inaugural ELF season without one of their key playmakers on defense. American defensive back Exavier Edwards has been placed on Injured Reserve. A veteran of the European League of Football, Edwards was known for his consistency and leadership during his time with the Vienna Vikings - one of the main reasons the Storm made it a priority to sign him for 2025.

In his first four games with the Storm, Edwards recorded 22 tackles, one interception, and one pass deflection, proving his impact early on. A replacement for Edwards has yet to be announced.

Another setback for Landström

Swedish wide receiver Theodor Landström has also been placed on Injured Reserve. This marks another tough break for Landström, who suffered a season-ending injury in 2024 while playing for the Hamburg Sea Devils. The talented receiver has not yet taken the field for the Nordic Storm this season.

With both players sidelined, the Nordic Storm will rely on their depth as they look to remain undefeated and continue their run toward the postseason.
