Reid Sinnett has been named the Most Valuable Player of the 2025 European League of Football season. The Madrid Bravos quarterback received the award on Saturday at the ELF Honors 2025, capping off a remarkable first year in Europe.

In his debut ELF campaign, Sinnett led the Bravos to the playoffs, where their run ended in the Wildcard Round against Stuttgart Surge, who went on to win the championship last weekend. In his 12 regular season appearances, the former NFL quarterback delivered outstanding numbers: 3.953 passing yards, 50 touchdowns, a completion rate of 72.98 percent, and just four interceptions.

"This is the most fun I've ever had playing football," Sinnett said in his acceptance speech. He thanked his family for their support "from throwing the ball in the backyard to driving to tournaments" and praised his teammates for making success possible. "All I've wanted to do in my entire career was play and contribute to an organization on and off the field. This experience in Europe is something I'll never forget."

He emphasized the role of his offensive line, highlightung Brendan Oswin, winner of the Offensive Lineman of the Year award, as well as others. "The guys up front gave me an opportunity to have success," Sinnett said. "Andrew [Weidinger] embraced me and my strengths, and the strengths of this team. It was amazing to be a part of."

"Just as deserving": Praise for Cruickshank

After the ceremony, Sinnett described the award as "a special honor in the ultimate team game," noting that much of the credit belongs to his teammates. He mentioned Aron Cruickshank in particular: "For somebody to, as a quarterback, throw the ball to somebody and watch them turn something out of nothing – it's really impressive. I think he's just as deserving of the MVP award."

Sinnett also reflected on his unconventional path, with limited starting opportunities in high school, college, and the NFL before finding a breakthrough in the ELF. "All I wanted was to contribute week to week. This experience feels like a culmination of a lot of years of hard work."

When asked what advice he would give younger players, Sinnett pointed to the importance of preparation. "There are a lot of guys right now that want to be on the field all the time, and they feel like if they are not on the field, they can't get better. The reality is that you get better in practice. Be ready for your opportunity, and when it comes, you have to take advantage of it." He recalled words from Tom Brady during his time in Tampa Bay: "They give you an opportunity on that field, don't let them ever take you off."

Future plans for Reid Sinnett?

Looking ahead, Sinnett said he has not yet decided on his future, but underlined his connection to the Spanish franchise. "I couldn't imagine coming back and not playing for this organization. The Madrid Bravos is the place to be."

With his performance, Sinnett not only became the face of the Madrid Bravos but also set a new benchmark for quarterbacks in the ELF. Whether he returns in 2026 or pursues another path, his debut season has already left a lasting mark on the league.
