Must-see games: The Top Matchups of ELF Week 7
Felix Pahl

Week 7 in the European League of Football brings several exciting matchups with major playoff implications. As teams head into the second half of the season, the pressure rises. Whether it’s historic rivalries, comeback attempts, or battle-tested contenders, this weekend’s games are filled with drama and high stakes.
Prague Lions at Frankfurt Galaxy – Sunday, 13:00 CET (Watch it here!)
The early Sunday matchup offers two teams with very different stories despite similar records. The Prague Lions are having their best ELF season so far, standing at 3-2 after three straight wins. They’ll travel to Frankfurt full of confidence and looking to make it four in a row.
Frankfurt Galaxy, on the other hand, is trying to bounce back. After starting strong, the 2021 ELF champions have now lost two games in a row and sit at 3-3. With their playoff hopes still alive, this is a must-win for Galaxy to prove they still belong among the league’s top teams.
Vienna Vikings at Raiders Tirol – Sunday, 16:25 CET (Watch it here!)
It’s time for another chapter in the “Battle of Austria.” So far, it’s been one-sided: the Vienna Vikings have won all seven previous matchups against the Raiders. After a tough loss to Rhein Fire last week, the Vikings are looking to protect their #2 playoff seed and show they’ve learned from their mistakes.
The Raiders, meanwhile, are determined to finally beat their biggest rivals. With back-to-back wins against Madrid and Helvetic, plus a more experienced N’Kosi Perry at quarterback, Tirol is ready to put up a much stronger fight than in the first meeting earlier this season.

Stuttgart Surge at Munich Ravens – Sunday, 16:25 CET (Watch it here!)
The Surge and Ravens are both 4-1, and both want to keep pace with the top of the standings. In their first meeting this season, the Ravens struggled early and made key mistakes, but still managed to fight back and keep the game close. They’ll be aiming for a complete, consistent performance this time.
The Surge continue to impress with a strong and balanced attack. If the Ravens want to protect their #4 playoff seed and the Surge want to hold on to #3, both teams need to bring their best football. Expect another close and intense game in Munich.
The playoff race heats up
As Week 7 kicks off, every game matters. Teams are fighting for position, momentum, and respect. With so many even matchups and so much on the line, this Sunday is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling weekends of the ELF season so far.
