Musketeers hold on to a win - despite Berlin's epic comeback

Berlin Thunder (4-4) at Paris Musketeers (5-1) 35-27

In the duel between the two capital city franchises, the Paris Musketeers showed off their talent coming out on top in a nail bitter. 

Paris was clearly ready to go from the starting kick-off as they jumped out to an early 28-0 lead. Edwards and the Paris offense marched up and down the field as the veteran quarterback found Hugo Tekedam for two scores, and found Remi Bertillin for another. Paris even got tricky in the first half as wide receiver Remi Bertillin threw a touchdown pass to tight end Kevin Mwamba.

Just before the first half, Berlin missed a field goal, giving Paris a 28-0 lead at the break. 

Berlin nearly comes back from 28-0

Edwards and Musketeers continued to pour it on as he added another touchdown, this time running one in. After trading a couple of touchdowns, Berlin showed some life with an interception and two touchdowns, cutting the lead to 19-35 in the fourth quarter. On the next series, Berlin made it really interesting when Albert Weisigstrauch took a quarterback sneak 59 yards for a score. Sullivan extended the play and found Jens Walter on the two-point conversion, making the score 27-35.

After the Thunder forced a punt they had a chance to tie the game with 2:30 to go. However, Paris's defense stepped up sacking Sullivan on fourth down icing the game. The sack ended what was a valiant comebacker by the Berlin Thunder. 

However, it was too little too late again for Berlin as Paris controlled the clock winning 35-27.  Quarterback Zach Edwards was the game's standout throwing for 182 yards and g and running for 140 on the day. The MVP candidate finished the day with four total touchdowns earning his team a hard-fought win. 

Next week, the Musketeers will face the Bravos in Madrid, while the Thunder will face the Vienna Vikings at home.
