Munich Ravens extend E-import DT Etuale "EJ" Lui

The Munich Ravens are bringing back defensive lineman Etuale "EJ" Lui. The New Zealander is back for his third season in Munich as the former rugby player contines to get better on the gridiron. 

ELF and NFL IPP experience

Lui was limited to only 7 games last season for the Ravens as he battled injuries, even so he made 17 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss, and 1.5 sacks. In 2023, Lui also had 21 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, and 2 sacks.

Lui joined the Ravens and the ELF in 2023 after taking part in the NFL IPP program. He was scouted in New Zealand by NFL scouts as a Rugby player and was one of 12 players selected to the NFL International Player Pathway Program in 2023. There he trained with 

A bruising running back

The Kiwi has experience running the ball from years of playing Rugby in his home country. This year he showed that off for the Ravens rushing for a touchdown last season from the fullback spot. Expect Lui to get the ball in certain spots next season as the big man has speed and explosiveness.
