Milano Seamen make quarterback change

The Milano Seamen and quarterback Zach Bronkhorst are going their separate ways. The Italian franchise made the announcement on social media. "The Milano Seamen thank Zach Bronkhorst for his work during this part of the season. We wish Zach all the best in his future career", it said in a statement.

The Seamen are currently in a slump and have lost their last two games. Eystin Salum should now provide new hope. The quarterback will play in the ELF for the first time, but the US American is not new to European football.

He spent the last two seasons playing for the Legnano Frogs in Italy’s top league. This past year, he led them into the playoffs, where they lost to the eventual champions, the Parma Panthers. In two seasons, he threw for 3,072 yards and 22 touchdowns while rushing for 995 and another 19 touchdowns. He was the league’s leading passer in 2024. Prior to his move to Europe, he played college football for the Colorado Mesa University.
