Milan Spiller: A new star on the receiver horizon

Those who paid attention over the last couple of weeks, have noticed a new name among the top receivers in the ELF: Milan Spiller. The youngster has quickly climbed the ladder and currently only three wideouts have more receiving yards than the Helvetic Mercenaries' pass catcher. From zero to hero in just one season.

In his first season in the ELF, Spiller can already look back on a successful debut campagin. He has caught 47 passes for 811 receiving yards and four touchdowns, making him one of the best and most consistent receivers in the league.

Spiller often wins with his speed and route-running prowess, being especially effective as a deep threat. He locates the ball well and seems to easily adapt to the style of his quarterback. He had great chemistry with Carlton Aiken Jr., who was put on injured reserve just last week, but also continued to play well with new signal caller DeAndre Clayton.

Helvetic Mercenaries build on promising youth

The Mercenaries also recognized the talent of their rookie early on, as he led the team onto the field as honorary captain against the Barcelona Dragons in week 4 and against the Munich Ravens in week 9.

Despite a head coach change, despite a quarterback change, despite an up and down season, Milan Spiller was able to make his mark on the ELF this season. The Helvetic Mercenaries have found a talented building block for the coming years.
