Rhein Fire have announced the mutual departure of Offensive Coordinator Ed Warinner. Following recent struggles on offense and a 1–2 start to the season, both parties agreed to end the collaboration.

"I want to thank Coach Warinner for his commitment over the past months," said General Manager Max Paatz. "The last games have shown that things aren’t clicking on offense. The reasons are complex, and the circumstances have been far from easy. We part on good terms."

After the game against the Paris Musketeers, Warinner requested to return to the U.S. due to personal reasons. Rhein Fire respected his wish.

Next steps and team response

Wide Receivers Coach Mario Schulz will now lead the offensive planning, working alongside the offensive staff and quarterbacks Chad Jeffries and Rohat Dagdelen. A new offensive coordinator is expected to be announced next week.

“The team has taken the decision well,” added Paatz. “Everyone knows we need to respond quickly. We must focus on what we have — control what you can control. We're in a difficult stretch, and the team is rising to the challenge.”

Rhein Fire will host the Hamburg Sea Devils in Düsseldorf in Week 5.
