The European League of Football (ELF) was officially launched back in 2021 as an initiative to bring professional American football back to Europe on a large scale. The league is spearheaded by Patrick Esume, a former player and highly respected coach, who took on the role of Commissioner.
The inaugural season featured eight teams from Germany, Spain, and Poland, kicking off what has since become an annual tradition of thrilling competition. With a mix of domestic and international players, the ELF quickly established itself as a bridge between European talent and global opportunities.
Now entering its fifth season in 2025, the ELF has expanded significantly, boasting teams from various countries, including Austria, France, Denmark, and Sweden, with growing fan-bases and increased media coverage.
