Two months after the kick-off event in Düsseldorf with the simultaneous announcement of the Madrid franchise for 2024, the planning in the Spanish capital is in full swing.

“Madrid has the perfect environment to succeed, not only because of the number of players that the region is developing but also because of its infrastructures and connections with the rest of Europe!”, Jaime Martín Lostao, general manager of the Madrid franchise is quoted. Next to the Barcelona Dragons, the franchise is going to be the second team in Spain.

After a successful launch of the third season by the European League of Football, Lostao commented as followed: “The response that the European League of Football has experienced in its first 3 years of existence, clearly demonstrates that Europe is ready to take football to the next level. Fans are breaking attendance records in the stadiums, the interest from sponsors and brands is increasing and players are enjoying the competition!”

Madrid is looking for a special first season in 2024.
