Madrid Bravos sign OL Yasir Raji

The Madrid Bravos have made a splash signing, bringing in veteran offensive lineman Yasir Raji. Raji moves from the Rhein Fire, where his offensive coordinator was Andrew Weidinger the past two seasons, to join Weidinger as a cornerstone piece of the Bravos offensive line.

Raji, 27, brings with him experience from the German Football League, where he played for the Dresden Monarchs and Potsdam Royals before joining the Rhein Fire in 2023. Raji was a versatile blocker, often linning up as a guard, tackle, and even tight end in Weidingers offense that helped the Rhein Fire win back-to-back ELF titles.

The German offensive lineman became a fan favorite in Düsseldorf, as offensive coordinator Andrew Weidinger often found a way to get his athletic lineman the ball. Over the past two seasons, Raji has caught 4 passes and had 1 rush with two total touchdowns, not bad for an offensive lineman. Last season, Raji battled injuires and was forced to miss much of the playoffs and final two games of the regular season.

Raji will be a key piece of the Bravos plan as they hope to keep new quarterback Reid Sinnett upright during the 2025 season.
