Madrid Bravos confirmed for the 2026 ELF season

The European League of Football has announced its fifth officially confirmed franchise for the 2026 season. After the Raiders Tirol, Frankfurt Galaxy, Prague Lions, and Paris Musketeers were introduced earlier, the Madrid Bravos have now been confirmed as the next team set to compete in the upcoming campaign.

A strong impact since day one

Since their debut season in 2024, the Madrid Bravos have made a strong impact in the ELF. The franchise reached the playoffs in both of their first two seasons, quickly establishing itself as an important presence in the European football landscape.

The Bravos also gained international attention through a partnership with the NFL’s Miami Dolphins, underlining their growing importance in the market. On the field, players such as Reid Sinnett and Aron Cruickshank brought excitement to the league, creating difficult matchups for defenses and setting new offensive records.

A new chapter begins

Following the 2025 season, the Bravos experienced several major changes, including the departures of Sinnett, Cruickshank, and head coach Andrew Weidinger. However, the franchise has already taken important steps toward the future.

With Dave Warner as the new head coach, several key contract extensions in place, and the signing of former UCLA quarterback Ethan Garbers as a long-term option at quarterback, the Bravos are entering a new phase with confidence and ambition.

Looking ahead to 2026

As the Madrid Bravos prepare for the 2026 season, the focus remains on building a competitive and stable roster while continuing their strong presence in the ELF. With a clear vision and new leadership, the Bravos are ready to write the next chapter of their story in European football.

More teams competing in the 2026 ELF season will be announced in the coming days - stay tuned.
