The Madrid Bravos have announced that Andrew Weidinger will step down as head coach of the team for personal reasons.
The former NFL coach took over the Bravos at the end of last year and guided the team to their second straight European League of Football playoff appearance. Weidinger was credited with shaping one of the league's most effective offensive systems.
General Manager Jaime Martín praised his impact: "We are very grateful to Andrew for his work and commitment. We feel fortunate to have been able to enjoy one of the best offenses in ELF history with him."
The franchise is already preparing for the next season and is finalizing arrangements with a new head coach to lead the team moving forward.
