The Prague Lions have officially announced their new quarterback: Jaylon Henderson, who played last season for the Paris Musketeers. The 28-year-old American, a former Boise State University standout, made major headlines in Europe after a spectacular 2024 season with the Potsdam Royals in the German Football League, where he produced more than 5,200 passing yards and 91 total touchdowns in just 15 games.

A challenging start in the ELF

Henderson’s transition into the European League of Football was not as smooth as his dominant GFL run. Together with the Musketeers, he struggled early in the 2025 season, starting with a 1–2 record after three games.

Although Paris managed to fight back with improved performances from Henderson, their playoff hopes ended in the final week with a loss to the Vienna Vikings.

A true dual-threat playmaker

Despite the difficult start, Henderson still delivered an impressive statistical season. In 12 games for Paris, he completed 193 passes for 2,135 yards and 29 touchdowns.

But Henderson was also a major threat on the ground. As a true dual-threat quarterback, he created explosive plays with his legs, rushing 112 times for 676 yards and 9 touchdowns - showing he can change a game in multiple ways.

A second chance in Prague

With this signing, the Prague Lions bring in a quarterback who perfectly matches their ambitions. Both the Lions and Henderson narrowly missed the playoffs last season - something neither wants to repeat in 2026.
Motivated and determined, Henderson arrives in Prague with a clear goal: to prove himself as a top-level ELF quarterback and lead his new team into the postseason.

The Lions have found their new QB1. Now it’s Henderson’s turn to show the ELF what he’s truly capable of.
