Kimi Linnainmaa back at Vikings

Vienna so far showed up as being one of the contenders for this year's title. The Vikings are still undefeated after four Game Days. But there is no time for rest.

On Sunday Vienna will play the Prague Lions (0-4), 13:00 CET.

And there will be a "new" face at the Vikings when showing up in Prague: The Vikings just signed Finnish receiver Kimi Linnainmaa. Not really a new face, to be honest. He was part of 2022's Championship team. Linnainmaa was one of the top performers when Vienna beat Hamburg two years ago and gained the Championship trophy.

Bouah on IR

This signing was possibe, as Jordan Bouah needs to be put on IR. The Italian Wide-Out suffers from a shoulder injury and will be out for six to eight weeks.

Vikings Head Coach Chris Calaycay is happy to have Linnainmaa back on the ground for Vienna: "Kimi is a Vikings-veteran, an European-League-of-Football-veteran, a Championship-MVP. In 2022's Championship game he already showed how worthy he can be. We are delighted to have him and his family back in Vienna."
