Jim Herrmann extends with Raiders Tirol for two more years

Although the Raiders Tirol are not competing in the playoffs, preparations for next season are already in full swing. The Raiders are starting with their most important position, securing Head Coach Jim Herrmann.

Jim Herrmann joined the Raiders Tirol at the beginning of the 2024 season and impressed in his first year in the European League of Football. Up until Week 14, only the Stuttgart Surge and Vienna Vikings had defeated the Raiders, and a victory over the Surge in Week 12 made a statement in the league, showing the potential of the roster.

Bitter loss ends playoff hopes

In Week 14, the Raiders were close to making the playoffs, but a loss to the Munich Ravens, along with the resulting statistical disadvantage against the Madrid Bravos, knocked them out of the playoff race.

Next step toward major success

By extending Jim Herrmann’s contract, the Raiders continue to rely on experience. In addition to coaching at Michigan Wolverines and Bowling Green, Herrmann has gained experience at the highest level of football. He has coached for three NFL teams: the New York Jets, New York Giants, and Indianapolis Colts, further proving his knowledge and coaching talent.

Ulz Däuber, General Manager of the Raiders, expressed his excitement about the extension: “I’m very excited that we were able to extend with Coach Herrmann and gain security for the next two years. We, as an organization, plan long-term, and Jim is exactly the right man for our goals. The players are enthusiastic about his approach and expertise and are happy that he’s staying with us! Now, we want to take the next steps to compete at the top.”

With Herrmann, the players of Raiders Tirol can continue to develop and may be set to deliver some surprises next year.
