Jaylon Henderson, one of the most dominant quarterbacks in European football, has experienced different football cultures around the world. But one thing stands out to him the most – the passion of European fans.

"I love Germany a lot. The fans are there, the culture is there, and the way they cheer at the game is amazing,"Henderson said. "They bring drums and stay loud the entire game, no matter if we're winning, you know, 96 to six, they're still loud!"

A true football family

Henderson, who played an incredible season with the Potsdam Royals, was not only a statistical leader but also a key player in building a winning culture. His outstanding performance in 2023 included 5,202 passing yards, 91 total touchdowns, and an astonishing 77.4% completion rate. More than just numbers, his ability to read defenses and make quick decisions made him a true superstar in the German Football League.

But what impressed him just as much as the game itself was the fan culture in Europe. "How they embrace their players really turns into a family atmosphere," he explained. "You can feel the 'one team' attitude from every single fan base."

Germany vs. Japan – A different experience

Before coming to Germany, Henderson also played in Japan but felt a clear difference in the atmosphere. "I didn’t really feel the family-esque atmosphere in Japan. Maybe it was the language barrier," he admitted. In Europe, however, the connection between fans and players is strong, creating an unforgettable experience for athletes.

A unique passion in Europe

Henderson believes that this level of dedication goes beyond just Germany – it's a European thing. "I went to the Euro Cup games, and it was wild how the fans embraced the team. The fan support in Europe is just different. They are die-hard," he said.

With his exceptional talent and deep appreciation for the fans, Henderson has become one of the most exciting quarterbacks in Europe. And as long as the European football community continues to show their love for the game, he will surely keep delivering top performances on the field.
