Hot Take Friday: A new receiving record and falling short

Markell Castle breaks Kyle Sweet’s receiving yards record

Markell Castle has been the arguably best wide receiver in the ELF this season and proved to be a true game changer for the Munich Ravens. The 27-year-old recorded 83 catches for 1451 yards and 14 touchdowns throughout 11 games, leaving him just 111 yards short of a new single-season receiving yards record. I believe that Castle will end his season on a high note, having a great game against the Barcelona Dragons and setting a new record.

Silas Nacita retires with a W

Silas Nacita is one of the best players to ever take the field in Europe. At age 29, his legendary career is set to come to an end on Sunday. As Silas takes the field for the last time, the Helvetic Guards will be extra motivated to send him off with a win against the Surge. It is still unsure whether Stuttgart will rest their starters or not but even if they don’t the Helvetic Guards will win their last game of the season and Silas Nacita will retire with a W in his final game.

Hamburg upsets the Thunder

On Sunday, everything is on the line for the Berlin Thunder. The Thunder just need to beat the Hamburg Sea Devils at home to secure their first playoff berth in franchise history. But therefore, the Thunder must overcome what is starting to look like a curse by now. Berlin is 0-5 against the Sea Devils and seemingly just cannot beat their longtime rival. With that much on the line, I have a feeling that the Thunder might crumble under pressure once again and surprisingly lose to the Sea Devils.
