Week 12 of the European League of Football season had some new homegrowns excelling and leading their teams to victory. Here are the best of them:

Maciej Jabłoński played the best game of his young Panthers career this weekend. The 25-year-old cornerback played an outstanding game against the Berlin Thunder, recording four tackles, two pass break-ups and two interceptions, putting his team in position for the game winning field goal. His effort against the Thunder most likely earned the Panthers a spot in this year’s playoffs.

The Fehérvár Enthroners won their first game on the field this season, beating the Prague Lions 19-3. Wide receiver Nándor Tóth played an important role in the Hungarians’ offensive game plan, catching five passes for 111 yards and a touchdown.

For the first time this season, two Enthroners are appearing on this list. Just like his teammate Tóth, Barnabás Gáspár played an important role in the Enthroners’ victory. The 28-year-old strong safety recorded 7 tackles, a tackle for loss and had a big redzone interception that ended the Lions’ hopes of getting back into the game.

Despite losing, Jakub Smutný had himself a game. The 27-year-old defensive lineman had four tackles and two tackles for loss, while also recording his teams’ only sack of the day.

The Frankfurt Galaxy played an outstanding game on Sunday, with many homegrowns dominating. Let’s start with Lorenz Regler, who led the team with nine receptions, which the veteran turned into 90 yards and a career-high three touchdowns.

But Regler was not the only Frankfurt pass catcher that excelled on Sunday. Normen Schumm played the best game of his ELF career as well, recording career-highs in every major category. With five receptions for 52 yards and two touchdowns, the former Ingolstadt Duke showed that he can compete on the highest level in Europe.

Last, but certainly not least, the Galaxy also had a defensive standout last weekend. Simeon Gabriel played a great game against the Seamen with seven tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble, earning himself the Galaxy Defensive Player of the Game award and a spot on this list.

Despite a crushing loss to the Rhein Fire, Marvin Rutsch proved once again that he is one of the best homegrowns the European League of Football has to offer. The 2021 ELF Champion led the Ravens with 15 receptions for 136 yards and a touchdown, tying the record for most receptions in a single game.
