The Nordic Storm have secured another key piece of their offense, announcing the contract extension of wide receiver Simon Føns through the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
The 193 cm Danish receiver made a strong impression during the franchise’s debut year in the European League of Football, making his extension anything but a surprise.

A reliable playmaker in his first ELF season

In the 2025 regular season, Føns recorded 38 receptions for 706 yards and 10 touchdowns across 11 games. He continued his strong performance in the playoffs, adding 10 catches for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns in two postseason matchups.

Whenever fellow receiver Brendan Beaulieu drew double coverage, Føns became a trusted target for quarterback Jadrian Clark, often stepping up with big plays in crucial moments. His size, route running, and reliability made him one of the Storm’s most effective offensive weapons.

A key piece for the future

By extending Simon Føns, the Nordic Storm strengthen the core of their passing attack for the coming seasons. His chemistry with Clark, combined with his continued development, makes him an essential part of the team’s long-term offensive strategy.

With Føns locked in for two more years, the Storm take another confident step toward building a stable, dangerous offense ready to compete at the highest level of the ELF.
