Historic Semifinal Upset

The Stuttgart Surge hand the Vienna Vikings their first ever ELF home loss, as they advance to the European League of Football Championship Game, beating the reigning champions 40-33.

The back-and-forth game was an offensive firework with 948 total yards and ten total touchdowns, with defenses coming up clutch in key moments, forcing a combined seven turnovers. In the end, Reilly Hennessey was able to connect with Darrell Steward Jr. twice to cap off a 70-yard drive with a touchdown and a two-point conversion, before a second fumble by Chris Helbig sealed the win for the Surge.

Jordan Neuman comes out on top against his former mentor Chris Calaycay, handing him and his team their first ever ELF home loss and spoiling their perfect season, taking the Surge to their first-ever Championship Game.
