Helvetic Mercenaries announce Val Gunn as head coach

A new era has started.

The Helvetic Mercenaries have announced former Istanbul Rams coach Val Gunn as their new head coach. The 57-year-old veteran knows Europe and the challenges that come along coaching on the highest European level. Loved by many former players, Gunn brings experience and knowledge to the new franchise - lining up in May for the first time. After the ownership and franchise change in Switzerland, the new Swiss franchise starts with all players already having re-signed their contracts. Therefor, Gunn has access to top-level national and international athletes like Tim Hänni or quarterback Carlton Aiken. Starting his European career with the Oslo Vikings in 1997, Gunn now brings plenty of experience from France, Germany, Norway, Poland and even Turkey to Switzerland. A new era has started.
