Head coach Andrew Weidinger and Barcelona Dragons part ways
Barcelona Dragons announce change in coaching staff for 2023 season.
The Barcelona Dragons and Coach Andrew Weidinger part ways. This morning, by mutual agreement, the decision has been reached that the American coach will not continue as the main figure of the team's coaching staff, as the franchise announced.
Bart Iaccarino, general manager of the Spanish franchise, explained in the press release: “We greatly appreciate the work of coach Andrew during this season, his commitment to the team and the hard work he has done. We want to thank and acknowledge all the effort to take the Barcelona Dragons as far as possible this season, in which we have reached the semi-finals. On the other hand, we have decided to separate our paths by mutual agreement, since in certain aspects, we do not coincide in being and finding what is expected of the other party”.
This creates another open position on head coach in the European League of Football. After Frank Roser at the Cologne Centurions, another team parts ways with his head coach.
