Hamburg Sea Devils sign promising players

After last weekend's defeat against the Paris Musketeers, the Hamburg Sea Devils have made some major changes to their roster, due to multiple injuries. Wide receiver Jarvis McClam, safety Caleb Mills and defensive back Lee Pitts were placed on injured reserve.

The injury to Jarvis McClam, who tore his Achilles tendon while attempting a flick-flack in the run-up to the game against Rhein Fire, is particularly unfortunate. Now the Sea Devils have signed replacements for the three A-spot players.

Nazir Streater and Brandon Richard will strenghten the secondary, while wide receiver Torin Justice will look to add some juice to the offense.

Young talents and a familiar face

For Streater, the ELF is nothing new. Following a tryout with the Seattle Seahawks and a stint in Mexico, he was signed by the Helvetic Mercenaries prior to this season. Before getting released by Helvetic, Streater collected 41 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and three pass breakups in just five games. "Having the opportunity to come in and help compete with this organization is huge. I'm excited to embrace the culture, compete with my new teammates and hear the roar of the wonderful fan base that's here!", Streater says in a statement posted by the Sea Devils.

Meanwhile, Brandon Richard is looking to make his debut in the ELF. The 23-year old is making the move to Europe. He played college football for the Incarnate Word Cardinals, where he was a team captain. In his last two seasons (2022 and 2023), Richard had 127 tackles, nine pass breakups, six sacks, three interceptions and forced three fumbles.

On offense, Torin Justice is also a newcomer in terms of playing in the ELF. The wide receiver played three years in the Mexican football league for the Fundidores, where he set multiple records. He currently holds the career records for receiving yards and catches and is second all time in receiving touchdowns.
