The Barcelona Dragons held a combine with over 150 selected athletes today.
Dragons’ general manager Bart Iaccarino was more than pleased with the level of football he was able to see throughout the day, via the Dragons’ press release: “It has been a very positive day. We have had an even more interesting day than a year ago”. He added: “[…] We are very satisfied with how the day has developed and [we are] happy with the overall result”.
Some players put up solid numbers over the course of the day. Rubén Quintana ran the fastest 40-yard dash (4.57 s) and posted the longest broad jump (2.89 m). Alex Pacheco recorded the fastest 20-yard shuttle (4.08 s) and Pablo Araya recorded the fastest three-cone drill time(7.03 s).
Gabriel Palmeira shined with his pure strength by recording 27 reps at the bench press drill.
Now, the Spanish franchise will move on and evaluate the player’s performances to fill their last roster spots for the upcoming 2022 season.
