Galaxy's role as playoff spoiler?
For the Frankfurt Galaxy, this season has been one to forget. The team, led by Head Coach Thomas Kösling, started with high expectations but has fallen short, sitting at a 4-6 record after Week 12.
In the tough Western Conference, they struggled to keep up with teams like Rhein Fire, the Paris Musketeers, and the Madrid Bravos. However, in Week 12, they pulled off a major upset, defeating the Bravos 37-20. This victory has shaken up the playoff race, though Galaxy themselves are already eliminated. They still have a game against another playoff contender, the Paris Musketeers, in Week 14. For the Musketeers, this game is crucial for securing a playoff spot and possibly a better seed.

The Musketeers have the chance to secure their playoff spot in Week 13 against the Madrid Bravos. But even if they win, they will still need to fight for a good seed. After Galaxy's strong performance against the Bravos, the Musketeers could face a tough away game in Frankfurt.
Since quarterback Matthew McKay took over for Frankfurt Galaxy, the team's offense has improved significantly. McKay's dual-threat ability makes him a difficult player to stop. In just five games, the American has passed for 1,291 yards and three touchdowns, adding another 414 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.
Before facing the Paris Musketeers, Frankfurt Galaxy will play the Wroclaw Panthers in Poland in Week 13. The Panthers are coming off a tough loss in a thriller against the Berlin Thunder.
