Galaxy reshape coaching staff

Frankfurt Galaxy announced that they have parted ways with three members of their coaching staff after the 2025 European League of Football season. Head Coach Bart Andrus, Defensive Coordinator Jon Leijten, and Offensive Line Coach Mike Mitchell will not return to the team next year.

Andrus, a former NFL coach, took over as head coach in October 2024. Expectations were high following his takeover, but the team fell short of expectations. Frankfurt went through a difficult midseason stretch, losing four consecutive games and falling to a 3-5 record after a heavy defeat to the Stuttgart Surge in Week 9. By mid-July, their chances of making the playoffs were just 0.3 percent.

The mid-season signing of quarterback Jameson Wang helped start a late-season comeback. The Galaxy went on a three-game winning streak in Weeks 10, 11, and 13, bringing them back into playoff contention. However, a narrow loss to the Madrid Bravos in the final week of the regular season ultimately ended their postseason hopes.

The organization has yet to announce replacements for the departing coaches.
