Galaxy dominate Centurions - Surge remain undefeated

The late slate of the Week 4 matchups in the European League of Football had everything a football fan desires. A dominating offensive and defensive performance by the Frankfurt Galaxy and a close game between the Munich Ravens and the Stuttgart Surge.

Cologne Centurions AT Frankfurt Galaxy

Score: 15 -47

The Frankfurt Galaxy left no doubt in their dominant performance against the Cologne Centurions today in their Week 4 matchup. Frankfurt stormed out to a commanding 26-0 lead in the first half, completely controlling the game on both sides of the ball.

The Centurions struggled heavily on offense, managing only two passing first downs and converting just 4 of 13 third downs – a clear sign of their inefficiency. Galaxy quarterback Matthew McKay delivered a solid performance, completing 15 of 23 passes for 170 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. However, the true standout of the game was running back Gerald Ameln, who exploded for 170 rushing yards and a touchdown on just 16 carries, averaging an incredible 10.63 yards per attempt.

The Centurions had no answers defensively or offensively, and this lopsided loss will raise serious questions heading into the next week. Frankfurt, meanwhile, looked like a team on a mission.

Munich Ravens AT Stuttgart Surge

Score: 28 - 36

Stuttgart Surge came out firing in their matchup against the Munich Ravens, jumping to a quick 17-0 lead in the first quarter and setting the tone for the rest of the game. The Ravens appeared overwhelmed early but fought back with determination in the second half.

Munich scored 16 points in the fourth quarter, showing flashes of their offensive potential, but it wasn’t enough to complete the comeback. The Surge defense stepped up when it mattered most, securing key stops and preserving their lead in the closing minutes.

Offensively, Stuttgart executed efficiently and maintained control throughout the game despite late pressure from the Ravens. While Munich’s late rally demonstrated grit, their slow start proved too much to overcome. Stuttgart secured a hard-earned victory and showed they can start fast and finish strong – a promising sign for their goal in the 2025 season - a deep playoff run.
