The Frankfurt Galaxy have announced that veteran coach Marvin Washington will be their special teams' coordinator. Washington joins several experienced coaches on Bart Andrus's staff in Frankfurt.

Experience on experience

Washington was the defensive back coach with the Stuttgart Surge. He brings with him a wealth of experience coaching in German American football scene for decades. Washington originally came to Germany in the 1980s as a member of the American Army. He has coached for decades in the Mannheim area in Germany and was a long time member of the Surge coaching in Stuttgart during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. 

In the German Football League, Washington was the head coach for the Weinheim Longhorns, Mannheim Bandits, and at the beginning of his career of the Konstanz 89ers. He was also defensive coordinator for the Damstadt Diamonds.
