Former NFL-wideout Reece Horn signs with Vienna Vikings

After putting Weston Carr, star wideout of the Vikings, on Injured Reserve, a new hero was welcomed in Vienna. With Reece Horn, a former NFL receiver and known face, joins the 2022 champion. The 31-year-old veteran brings two years of experience with the Frankfurt Galaxy in 2022 and 2023, recording 1558 yards with 100 receptions in 20 games. In 2018, Horn was already part of the Vikings organization, then in the AFL. "It's really good to be back. Of course, I was here in 2018, now seeing some familiar faces - ready to get to work, dive into the playbook and be on the field on Saturday!" Horn said, mentioning the rivalry between the Vikings and Raiders in week 2.

Better than week 1?

Further saying: "I watched the [Raiders] team a little bit, having a stout defense, coming off a big week. Obviously, this is a massive game for Austria and the whole league, and I am excited to be a part of it. I am excited to see what we can do as an offense. They have some guys, and we have some guys."
Despite getting Horn, the early loss of Carr hurts the offense, now trying to get back to normal. In week 1, the team of head coach Chris Calaycay already showed their firepower without Carr. With Horn coming in, the offense could peak yet another time, in the right moment just before their "Battle of Austria" on Saturday 6 PM.
