First win: Prague steamroll Fehérvár

Week 3 of the European League of Football is here! We already saw a lot of highlights in the first two weeks of the season. Here is a recap of the first game of Week 3.

Prague Lions AT Fehérvár Enthroners 

Score:  40 - 0 

The Prague Lions secured their first win of the season with a resounding 40–0 shutout win against the Fehérvár Enthroners in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. The Lions set the tone early, scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter and extending their lead to 20–0 by halftime. They continued their offensive onslaught in the second half, adding a field goal in the third quarter and two more touchdowns in the fourth, culminating in a comprehensive victory

Quarterback Javarian Smith led the Lions' offense efficiently, completing 13 of 18 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown. Running back Adam Zouzelka was instrumental both on the ground and through the air, rushing 16 times for 66 yards and two touchdowns, and adding three receptions for 67 yards. The Lions amassed a total of 305 offensive yards, with 179 through the air and 126 on the ground.​

Defensively, Prague was formidable, limiting the Enthroners to just 194 total yards and 84 passing yards. The Lions' defense consistently disrupted the Enthroners' offense, preventing any scoring opportunities throughout the game.​

For the Enthroners, homegrown quarterback Máté Hegedüs completed 13 of 24 passes for 89 yards but struggled to generate significant offensive momentum while throwing two interceptions. Running back Bogdanovic contributed 35 rushing yards on eight carries. Despite holding the ball for over 31 minutes, the Enthroners were unable to capitalize on their possessions.​

This victory marks a significant turnaround for the Lions, showcasing their potential as they aim to build momentum going into Week 4.
