Final MVP Louis Geyer: "I can’t put it into words"
Felix Pahl

Louis Geyer became the hero of the ELF Championship Game 2025. The Stuttgart Surge wide receiver delivered a historic performance with 9 catches for 132 yards and three touchdowns, leading his team to a 24:17 victory over the Vienna Vikings in front of more than 36,000 fans. His outstanding display earned him the Championship Game MVP award.
Overwhelmed after the win
After the win, Geyer admitted in an interview with First Down Magazine that he was still overwhelmed: "I’m still processing, I can’t put it into words. Three years in the making, the countless meetings we had, the countless tape-watching we had, it just all came down and God wanted it to be in Stuttgart. It’s just an unbelievable feeling."
For Geyer, the triumph was more than just a single night of success - it was the result of years of work and persistence.

A different path back to Stuttgart
Earlier in 2025, Geyer had taken part in the CFL Draft Combine, where he impressed but ultimately did not secure a spot. That decision led him back home to Stuttgart - a twist of fate he now sees as destiny.
"I’m exactly where I have to be, this is my family here, not only off the field but on the field as well. I would do anything for my brothers. If God closes one door, God opens another door, and the door was a Championship Game in Stuttgart, so I wouldn’t do anything different."
A moment for the history books
With his MVP performance, Geyer not only cemented his place in Surge history but also showed once again why he is one of the brightest stars in European football. For the Stuttgart native, lifting the trophy in his hometown stadium was the ultimate reward for years of dedication and belief.
