The city of Duisburg experienced a special start to a two-day football festival when the FIBO Football Family Day of the European League of Football opened its doors. Despite the cloudy skies, the faces of the fans and families, who had gathered in the event area and on the Klönnewiese around the stadium, were shining to experience a day of fun and fellowship.

Football is Family

The event area was the heart of the celebration, where fans from all over the region came together to share their passion for American football. Spectators were in for a special surprise as Commissioner Patrick Esume and former NFL-pro Kasim Edebali provided excitement on the outdoor-stage.

But the Commissioner wasn't the only one providing entertainment. The event area was filled with music and entertainment that fueled the atmosphere. Fans took the opportunity to stock up on merchandise of their favorite team, and food trucks provided visitors with delicious snacks and refreshments. Once again, you could feel that "Football is Family".

For the youngest fans, there was a special live action field for kids on the Klönnewiese. Here, the kids could not only have fun, but also prove their skills in various drills and field goal kicking supported by players of the ELF. Furthermore, the Viva con Agua Flag Football Charity Game provided more support for a good cause.

In the evening, the Honors Show presented by Stetson will award the best and most valuable players and coaches of the European League of Football, before the biggest game of the year will take place tomorrow.
