Experienced Dave Warner becomes new head coach of the Prague Lions

The ELF is still looking for its champion. While the Vienna Vikings and Rhein Fire are still working on the title, some other teams are already preparing for next season.

There will be changes on the Prague Lions' coaching bench. Daniel Disch had already announced after the last game of the season that he would be stepping down as head coach. Under Disch, the Lions achieved a record of 1:11 this season, which earned them the last place in the Eastern Conference.

Dave Warner will take over for Dish in the coming season. Warner brings a lot of experience to Prague. He has already coached at several well-known US colleges, such as Michigan State. His strengths lie in offense and quarterback coaching. Signal callers such as Kirk Cousins, Brian Hoyer or Nick Foles learned under Warner. All three later made it to the NFL. Foles even got Super Bowl MVP.

Warner can’t wait to start

Previously, Warner was the offensive coordinator at the Madrid Bravos. He led them to the Wild Card game with a top 5 scoring offense. Now he has been promoted to Head Coach. A new challenge waits, which Warner is already looking forward to.

„I am truly grateful to owner Mason Parker and the Prague Lions organization for this incredible opportunity to serve as head coach and lead this program. I’m excited to get started and tackle the challenges that lie ahead. I guarantee that we will be a team that plays fast, physical, and with great effort in all phases of the game. Together we will work to create a team that our fans and the city of Prague can be proud of”, says the coach.

It will be exciting to see what the experienced coach can do with the franchise's potential.
