DKMS and European League of Football launch partnership

Together we tackle blood cancer! The European League of Football and DKMS are entering a partnership for the upcoming season. The twelfth game week on August 10 & 11 will be a motto game day for DKMS and the topics blood cancer and stem cell donation and will draw attention to campaigns against blood cancer in six German stadiums. Together, the European League of Football and DKMS want to encourage more potential stem cell donors from the football family who can give people suffering from blood cancer a second chance at life. In addition, the Championship Game in Gelsenkirchen on September 22 will also be used as a stage for the good cause.

Commitment to life

"Our partnership with DKMS is more than just an association - it is a joint commitment to life. As a sports league, we know that true strength comes from community. Together with DKMS, we want to set an example and use our reach to save lives. Together we are a strong team," said Patrick Esume, Commissioner of the European League of Football.

On the twelfth game week, all games on German soil will be supported by DKMS. The motto in Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Cologne, Munich, Berlin and Duisburg will be: "Open your mouth. Sticks in. Be a donor."
